Hi, it's me again!

We're now on the home stretch and I wanted to give you some details on the personalized approach I take when you come in for a session. Sometimes when you go to an office they have a team and you end up being passed on to a bunch of different people instead of getting one on one care. I'm a a one person shop and you'll see me for the whole time that you come in - from reception to treatment to wrapping things up.

This email is a little longer than the previous one's but I created a lot of bolded bullets to help make it a quick read.

  • Customized Care: From the precise placement of needles to the rhythm of your treatment sessions, every aspect of your care is fine-tuned to meet your specific needs.

Think of your personalized treatment plan as a roadmap to success. It's a plan that grows with you, making sure that every session with me at Acupuncture Athlete propels you further along to getting better and improving your health. If we are taking a team approach, with your permission I can reach out to your other healthcare providers.

Expected Timeframes for Results:

When it comes to seeing results from your acupuncture treatments, we take an approach called "the treatment arc". Here's a brief description of the four phases:

The Treatment Arc

1. Discovery and Assessment Phase

The first phase is all about getting to know you and your unique condition. Through a detailed discovery and assessment, we'll learn about your specific needs, determine an initial diagnosis, and begin making measurable progress on your condition. Think of this stage as laying the groundwork for a successful healing journey. This stage typically takes 3-4 sessions to confirm our initial diagnosis over 2-3 weeks with a goal of seeing 15 to 40 percent improvement in your condition. Sometimes patients are completely better after this stage.

2. Progress Through Care Phase

With a clear understanding of your goals, we enter the second phase, where the focus is on getting significant results. Here, we work to alleviate your injury and pain, applying targeted treatments that promote healing and enable you to feel the transformative effects of our care. This stage can range from 4-8 sessions to 8 plus sessions depending on the variables related to your condition and can take weeks to months to progress through depending on your condition. Our goal is to see you make an 80 to 90 percent improvement in this stage.

3. Maintenance and Training Recovery Phase

As your body begins to heal, we transition into the third phase, emphasizing maintenance and training recovery. This stage is crucial for preventing re-injury and ensuring that the benefits of our treatments are long-lasting. It's about maintaining the gains you've made and supporting your body as it continues to recover and strengthen. I usually recommend maintenance to be once a month or if you're training hard possibly twice a month.

4. Performance Enhancement Phase

Finally, we arrive at performance enhancement. In this phase, our treatments are fine-tuned to not only support recovery but to actively enhance your athletic performance. Whether it's increasing your stamina, improving your flexibility, or boosting your overall energy levels, our goal is to help you achieve new personal bests and reach your full athletic potential. Here you can come monthly, bi-monthly, or weekly.
